Responsibilities
- Partner with business unit management to analyze and support full P&L responsibility and bring business insights from a financial perspective.
- Identify emerging product/market trend vulnerabilities and opportunities through analysis; review all assigned markets develop and implement actions plans.
- Lead development and implementation of business unit performance measures for use in decision making that accurately reflects financial performance.
- Develop process and set infrastructure to measure understand and monitor business unit results relative to action plans and milestones.
- Determine accounting policies and procedures that facilitate accurate reporting for management and external financial statement users. Recommend methods that comply with GAAP while providing business unit leaders clarity relative to financials underlying business performance.
- Partner in divisional strategic planning and implementation.
- Support the coordination and development of business unit financial plans including 5 year plan annual budgets and current year forecasts.
- Partner with business unit leaders on achieving Return on Asset (ROA) goals and expense targets.
- Partner with business leaders and corporate business development team on new opportunities and in determining divesitures ofnoncore or underperforming businesses.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Statistics Economics Business Business Administration or related field
- 2 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting
Additional Qualifications
- Previous experience in strategic and business planning accounting and financial analysis
- Ability to work well under pressure managing competing priorities
- Extensive financial analysis & controls experience
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Proficienct in use of MS Office suite
