Avery Dennison is seeking a Plant Manager for its Oak Harbor OH facility. This individual will be responsible for overall leadership of the sites operational performance in safety financial quality service employee relations and supply chain management.
In this role the successful candidate(s) will develop improve or maintain an effective system of metrics scorecards governance and reviews to assure strategies and projects are aligned with business needs in a leading company where individual and team success are recognized and rewarded.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Attract manage develop and retain a team of change agents to deliver results in a manner consistent with living the Avery Dennison values
Lead the Plant Leadership Team including direct management of operations managers quality/process manager and maintenance manager.
Drive YOY improvements in employee engagement throughout the site and support Avery Dennisons Diversity and Inclusion objectives.
Drive an engaged learning organization that is capable of creating acquiring transferring and utilizing value added knowledge to meet and exceed business goals.
Facilitate robust voice of customers to continuously evaluate and improve internal business processes.
Partner with finance to develop the sites annual operating plan including YOY improvements.
Create a vision 5year plan) and operating strategy (OGSM Objectives Goals Strategies and Measures) and ensure the effective to achieve or exceed safety quality service cost safety inventory and bottomline results.
Ensure that each functional leader has a strategy A3 that supports the site OGSM.
Leverage a demonstrated ability to collaborate across boundaries to solve difficult problems.
Be a visible leader capable of engaging team members at all levels of the organization.
Foster a culture where safety is a core value in daily operation and strive towards an accidentfree workplace. Support the processes and practices to ensure site compliance with legal legislative and corporate safety requirements.
Ensure accuracy and completion of capital planning and budgeting.
Drive lean management and process discipline throughout site by personally championing Enterprise Lean Sigma (ELS).
Model and promote the Corporations Code of Business Ethics and Values.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors Degree Required. Engineering Field Preferred.
8 years solid business experience in a manufacturing environment.
4 years leading people
Experience communicating directly with customers and taking action to solve their needs.
Demonstrated experience in leading and managing individuals and teams.
Strong knowledge and experience with ISO 9000 Quality System.
Experience working in a Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing environment.
Proven success in operations leadership improvement process and proven ability to understand and integrate consumer needs marketing strategies and broader business challenges.
Preferred:
General business knowledge within the converting or pressure sensitive industries.
Masters degree preferred.
