Job Description
- Concepts are planned by researching relevant information and materials.
- Concepts are illustrated by creating examples of art arrangement size type size and style and submitting them for approval.
- Creating finished artwork by using the necessary equipment and software.
- As needed coordinate with outside agencies art services web designers marketing printers and colleagues.
- Contributing to team efforts by completing tasks as they arise.
- Having conversations with clients about layout and design .
- Using software such as Photoshop create a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations company logos and websites.
- Reviewing final layouts and making suggestions for improvements as needed.
- Brainstorming image ideas with the marketing and design teams.
- Creating rough draft illustrations in accordance with client specifications .
- Specifying any budget or time constraints.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in graphic design in fine arts or a related field is required.
- Experience as a graphic designer or in a related field is preferred.
- Graphic design skills and a strong portfolio are required.
- Proficiency in desktop publishing tools such as Photoshop InDesign Quark and Illustrator is required.
- A keen sense of visual composition.
- Time management abilities and the ability to meet deadlines are required.
- Capable of giving and receiving constructive criticism.
- Marketing production website design corporate identity product packaging advertisements and multimedia design knowledge.
- Understanding of computeraided design
