Location: Springfield OH

Hours: SundayThursday 7pm Finish

Pay: $20.29/hr. $1.00/hr shift premium

Position Summary:

Removes product from automated conveyor and packs product (by customer) in a manner where product will withstand transport and arrive damagefree.

Essential Functions:

  • Reads and analyzes daily load sheets.

  • Uses PIV to transport non conveyable items when needed.

  • Assesses space available in trailers and retrieves cases from the conveyor.

  • Safely organizes cases on the trailer fitting and blocking cases so that heavy items are on the bottom. Secures load to prevent damage during transit.

  • Separates grocery cooler and freezer items and packs accordingly.

  • Offers assistance to other team members.

  • Completes housekeeping activities on a daily basis remove pallets clean up boxes etc.

  • May scan cases with RIF when needed.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills:

  • Must have the ability to perform very physically active work for the majority of the day

  • Must be able to maintain a fast work pace appropriate to the workload and according to standards

  • Must have ability to read write and communicate in English.

  • Must be able to work independently or within a team environment.

  • Must adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.

  • Must possess basic math skills including the ability to multiply divide subtract and add mentally and on paper.

  • Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures.

  • Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells alarms and horns that are used to warn employees of the startup movement or approach of equipment (including forklifts turrets overhead cranes conveyors trucks and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse) mechanical abnormalities and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.
