Job Description
- Accurately post and reconcile payments received from various sources including insurance companies patients and government payers.
- Verify the accuracy of payment amounts adjustments and denials.
- Enter payment data into the billing system and ensure all information is correctly recorded.
- Analyze remittance advice or Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to identify discrepancies underpayments or overpayments.
- Investigate and resolve any payment discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Identify denied claims and understand the reasons for denials.
- Work closely with the denial management team to address and resolve claim denials ensuring maximum reimbursement.
- Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of patient received against posted payments.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or irregularities in cash reconciliation.
- Communicate with insurance companies patients and other stakeholders to resolve paymentrelated inquiries or issues.
- Provide excellent customer service
