THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN SHELBY COUNTY and Hours are flexible. This position can work up to 28 hours if taking classes and up to 38 hours during the summer and/or academic breaks.
Responsibilities will be moderate and less routine and will require responsibility and good judgement. May coordinate activities for other student employees. Requires providing excellent customer service strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a professional environment. Requires previous experience and knowledge or skill in student assistant role. Represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values.
The OSU Extension Summer Student Assistant will work administratively under the Area Leader and programatically with the County Educators and staff. He/she will be expected to work cooperatively with local volunteers Extension Staff members and youth in the organization and management of the OSU Extension Program. The successful candidate should possess leadership skills; organizational skills; excellent communication skills both written and oral. In addition they should be selfmotivated and selfdirected; able to work with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds; and be proficient in Microsoft programs.
This position requires both First Advantage and BCI/FBI background checks.
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
