About the role
Reporting to the Head of Quality (Education) the Curriculum Teaching and Learning Manager role has been created to provide high quality targeted professional advice and support in curriculum literacy numeracy technology and pedagogical practices directly to our school teams.
This role facilitates professional learning to build the capacity of The Industry School leaders and educators to ensure that we meet the diverse range of learning needs of our students.
Based in The Industry School Brisbane Head Office this hybrid role provides support to six Southeast Queensland schools and beyond.
Key outcomes
Serve and support school teams by identifying and creating tailored responsive solutions that help them achieve their strategic priorities.
Provide leadership in education by leveraging schoolspecific data and researchinformed practices to enhance educational outcomes and identify opportunities to respond to emerging trends in curriculum pedagogy and educational technologies.
Key responsibilities will include:
Facilitate the development of systemwide curriculum and learning strategies to improve student outcomes and organisational effectiveness.
Provide school centric strategic advice to positively influence organisational practices procedures and operational outcomes.
Support the development of teaching practice and expertise across the AITSL Australian Professional Standards for Teacher Middle Leader and Principal career stages.
Utilise school centric data to support new perspectives and recommendations that improve outcomes.
Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team with curriculum literacy numeracy and pedagogy subject matter expertise to determine organisational and operational priorities.
Provide differentiated models of support to meet school needs in learning and teaching through instructional coaching modelling coteaching coplanning coordination and facilitation of communities of practice and professional learning networks to build capacity and grow middle leader and teacher agency and efficacy.
Partner with schoolbased role holders and leadership teams to provide support in curriculum learning and pedagogy literacy numeracy and technology.
Build capability within and across school business areas to enhance operational performance and efficiencies through subject matter expertise.

About You
To be successful in this role you will bring the following skills and experience:
Essential
Bachelor of Education
Recent experience in senior secondary education.
Full registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
Demonstrated experience in developing systemwide curriculum and learning strategies in collaboration with other stakeholders to improve student outcomes and organisational effectiveness.
Very high proficiency in the AITSL Australian Professional Standards for Teacher Middle Leader and Principal career stages.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills including the ability to influence and work effectively with teaching staff senior leaders and Principals.
Visible flexible and encouraging approach in supporting all employees to improve their practice.
Experience in using data to provide recommendations and advice to School Leadership Teams.
Valid driver licence
Ability to demonstrate The Industry School values.
Right to work in Australia
Desirable
Post graduate qualifications in education or related field.
Previous experience in a similar position would be highly regarded but not essential.
