The successful applicant will teach 4 sections of 7th grade English (one prep). Working collaboratively with other members of the 7th grade team is important to our school culture. The incoming teacher will have the support of other team teachers and department colleagues. In addition teachers work closely with students outside of the classroom during study halls for occasional extra help outside of normal class time. The teacher will also attend the overnight 7th grade team trip from September 10 2025 through September 12 2025 at Camp Jewell in Colebrook CT. Teachers are expected to attend school meetings some of which take place after school and support the function of the middle school as needed. Qualifications: Applicants must have a bachelors degree from a fouryear accredited institution. A minimum of two to five years of middle school teaching experience is preferred although not a requirement for application. Masters degree or beyond is desirable. We seek candidates who are passionate about their desire to teach advise and learn from middle school students and who have experience supporting students with diverse identities and backgrounds to be confident and skillful learners.
