You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs a DTP Specialist you will assist in the preparation and finalization of design files for both print and digital media handling less complex tasks independently while providing support to the senior DTP specialist in headquarters. This role focuses on ensuring that design layouts are correctly adapted for various formats and that all materials are productionready. You will also manage routine tasks such as updating templates making minor design adjustments and ensuring quality control on simpler projects.
Roles & responsibilities:
Edit format typeset and create publicationready documents using desktop publishing and graphic design software; collaborate with users on project conceptualization and design; and perform related tasks.
Assist with file preparation: Prepare and finalize files for print and digital production ensuring all technical specifications are met (e.g. resolution color profiles) under the guidance of the senior DTP specialist.
Handle TemplateBased Tasks: Create routine assets based on template files ensuring consistency and accuracy across design layouts; update and manage basic template files using feedback from senior DTP specialist.
Support Senior DTP Specialist: Assist the senior DTP specialist in more complex projects by preparing assets making layout adjustments and following up on technical specifications.
Routine Layout Adjustments: Make small design and layout adjustments based on feedback from the senior specialist or designers ensuring brand consistency and correct formatting.
File Organization & Archiving: Ensure all design files are properly organized named and archived for future use maintaining a clear and accessible file management system.
Quality Control for Simple Projects: Conduct quality checks on less complex projects ensuring they meet production standards before finalization.
Learning & Skill Development: Take advantage of opportunities to learn from the senior specialist gaining a deeper understanding of the DTP process and improving skills over time.
Skills & experience:
Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience
Technical Skills: Familiarity with DTP software such as Adobe InDesign and Illustrator and the ability to handle straightforward tasks such as resizing reformatting and template updates.
Education:A graduate degree with additional graphic and multimedia certification
Global Perspective: Experience with working across multiple regions with an understanding of cultural nuances.
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on detail when working with layouts ensuring that files are free from errors and meet production specifications.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English) with the ability to proficiently work remotely with the senior DTP specialist and design teams ensuring smooth handoffs and clear communication across time zones.
Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively working on multiple tasks at once and ensuring that deadlines are met without sacrificing quality.
Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Adaptability & Willingness to Learn: Open to learning new techniques and processes within DTP with the goal of taking on increasingly complex tasks over time.
File Management & Organization: Strong organizational skills for managing and archiving files systematically ensuring easy retrieval for future use.
