Our clients are primarily athletic highly motivated individuals who follow their home programs and our advice about health and lifestyle shifts and get outstanding results. It is a really fun population to work with. If you are tired of working with people who expect someone else to do all the work to help them heal or do not deeply value their health (therefore not willing to work at it) this clinic is for you. The ideal candidate is a skilled and experienced(5 years)Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist/Certified Athletic Trainer (dual credentialled) who is tired of thehighvolumeclinic setting and wants to work in a low volume cashbased environment so they are not sprinting all of the time!
The physical therapist must be a competent manualtherapist have a track record of going above and beyond in continuing education and be passionate about delivering quality care and making a real difference in the lives of their clients. Training will be provided on the job as needed for the high level tech that is u. We utilize a team approach to care here so clients are shared across the schedule between physical therapists. We also see a fair number of vestibular and postconcussion patients. Experience in that realm is valued.
Typicalworkdayincludes:
Oneonone sessions with patients some patients are seen on the halfhour. There is an aide to assist with transitions and modalities.
Followup and new patient calls with current and prospective physical therapy patientsisrequired Time is provided for this while you are on the clock.
Documentation time is provided at the clinic.
The patient population is active and athletic primarily aged 35 with some elite and professional athletes and a few children and teens with orthopedic conditions.
Physical TherapistResponsibilities
Assess each patient and develop an appropriate treatment plan with measurable goals and time frames
Prepare and submit clinical and progress summaries based on identified and attained goals
Ensure that other treating medical professionals have the necessary information to appropriately evaluate the patient
Qualifications
A valid CA state license to practice as a physical therapist
Minimum of5years experience as a physical therapist
Strong manual therapy background and skills
Interest and commitment to learn on the job and grow in professional skills
Interest or willingness to teach small group fitness classes of 36 people
Preferred:Pilatesexperience or certification NAIOMT training IASTM Paris courses Mulligan John Barnes Jones StrainCounterstrainUpledger Barral Visceral Manipulation Makenzie vestibular and concussion continuing education.
Compensation:
PT: $48 $85/hrbased on experience and expertise/skills (to start) with an opportunity for advancement in pay based on performance.
Parttime eligible for Health insurance: (employee choice: PPO HMO HSA).
Fulltime eligible for unlimitedMedbridgecontinuing education units.
Other continuing education will be paid for by the employeras agreed upon.
Full and parttime eligible for company service discounts.
