We are seeking a Controls Engineer with knowledge in GridForming Technology to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in developing and implementing cuttingedge gridforming inverter solutions to advance the integration of solar and energy storage technologies. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design develop and implement advanced gridforming inverter technologies for utilityscale solar and energy storage applications.
  • Conduct indepth simulations and modeling (e.g. PSCAD MATLAB/Simulink) to analyze system dynamics power quality and grid stability.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on the integration of gridforming technologies into utilityscale renewable energy projects.
  • Research evaluate and implement emerging trends in gridforming technology and power system stability.
  • Provide support in writing technical reports engineering specifications and contribute to proposals.
  • Stay updated on global grid code requirements interconnection standards and industry best practices.
  • Occasional international travel may be required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Power Systems or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 years of proven experience in the design and development of gridforming inverters and plant controls.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering Power Systems or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems
  • Understanding of using IEC 611313 programming standards
  • Experience using high and lowlevel programming languages e.g. Python C.
  • Experience with hardwareintheloop (HIL) testing.
  • Experience with microgrid design and control.
  • Experience with distributed energy resources (DERs) and their integration into the power grid.
  • Understanding of power system fundamentals grid dynamics and power electronics.
  • Proficiency in power system modeling and simulation tools (PSCAD MATLAB/Simulink etc..
  • Experience with integration of utility scale renewable energy inverterbased systems in to the power grid.
  • Knowledge of relevant grid codes and interconnection standards (e.g. IEEE 2800.
  • Excellent analytical problemsolving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a teamoriented environment and manage multiple projects.

The salary range for this position is 69600...00 USD Annual . The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience their education and the work location. In addition this position is eligible for a performance bonus. 69600...00 USD Annual.
