Description:
Coach (Southern Nye Schools)
Amagosa Valley Beatty Pahrump Schools
Funding Source: General Fund
Stipend Position: Based on Sport & Location

Job Goal:
To provide each enrolled student of secondary school age an opportunity to participate in an extracurricular athletic activity that will foster physical skills a sense of worth and competence and the principles of fair play.

Qualifications:

Must have demonstrated knowledge of the sport;
Previous coaching experience preferred but not necessary;
Must be willing to work long hours and on weekends;
Must be willing to work in a high pressure environment;
Ability to work successfully with varsity and sub varsity athletes on a daily basis;
Must have current CPR/First Aid/AED training and certification;
Ability to work cooperatively with Administration/AD parents staff and community;
Must pass a reference check mandatory fingerprint background check and drug and alcohol testing.

Working Conditions:
Office or suitable workspace with desk telephone computer and supplies necessary to carry out functions of position description.
