Overview
The Orthopedic Surgeon (MS DNB Consultant) plays a critical role in the healthcare system focusing on diagnosing treating and rehabilitating patients with musculoskeletal disorders. This position is essential in ensuring that patients receive highquality surgical care improving their overall quality of life and restoring mobility. The surgeon will work in a clinical setting for a twohour slot providing consultations performing minor surgeries and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop effective treatment plans. The role requires not only surgical skills but also a compassionate approach to patient care. As an Orthopedic Surgeon the consultant will be expected to stay updated with the latest advancements in orthopedic surgery and contribute to reducing patient recovery times through innovative techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and medical histories.
- Perform thorough physical examinations to diagnose musculoskeletal conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Perform orthopedic surgeries including minimally invasive procedures.
- Utilize imaging techniques like Xrays and MRIs for accurate diagnoses.
- Manage postoperative care and monitor recovery progress.
- Educate patients on treatment options and rehabilitation processes.
- Collaborate with physical therapists for patient recovery plans.
- Consult with other medical professionals regarding complex cases.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
- Stay updated with advancements in orthopedic techniques and treatments.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
- Advise on preventative care and injury risk management.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and families.
- Contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Master of Surgery (MS) in Orthopedic Surgery.
- DNB (Diplomate of National Board) in Orthopedics.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in orthopedic surgery.
- Licensed to practice medicine in specify location.
- Board certification in orthopedic surgery preferred.
- Exceptional surgical skills and proficiency in various techniques.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to orthopedics.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
