POSITION DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Trial Services Manager and Technician

Location: St. Louis

Department: Trial

Reports To: Trial and Media Services Manager

Classification: Exempt

Job Summary

The Trial Services Manager and Technician oversee all trialrelated and incourt deliverables for the Alaris Business Unit of Deposition Solutions LLC d/b/a Lexitas (the Company).

Position Responsibilities and Functions

  • Respond to incoming Trial Services inquiries
  • Oversee preparation of Letters of Engagement for Trial Services
  • Schedule and maintain uptodate Trial Services calendar.
  • Supervise all Trial Services Department employees and provide performance evaluation input for the Ops Admin Asst.
  • Manage pretrial work for scheduled trials.
  • Oversee training of Trial Technicians.
  • Maintain Trial Department metrics and review profitability monthly.
  • Assist clients with planning trial presentation support.
  • Digitize and sync video for trial.
  • Assist in editing videos for clients.
  • Scan print and assemble trial materials and demonstratives.
  • Setup and installation of trial and playback equipment at designated locations.
  • Assist clients to present and display videos and exhibits in court.
  • Review and approve Trial Services billing.
  • Work collaboratively with other supervisors and staff as it relates to trial deliverables.
  • Stay abreast of recent innovations and best practices in the trial technology industry.
  • Prepare and execute a plan for department growth focusing on proactive marketing and sales activities to include attending industryrelated functions following up with current clients postengagement making trialtechnologyrelated CLE presentations and preparing social media content and marketing collateral to increase department visibility.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • Associates or bachelors degree preferred.
  • Five 5 years applicable experience or any equivalent combination of education experience and training that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational planning and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to plan prioritize direct and supervise the work of staff providing leadership counsel motivation and constructive feedback in alignment with department and Company goals.
  • Strong analytical problemsolving and negotiation skills.
  • Experience managing employees including managing workflow evaluating performance and coaching staff through performance improvement plans.
  • Strong technical capability.
  • Trial technician hot seat experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and sound independent judgment.
  • Ability to work successfully with all employees and clients regardless of background and perspectives.
