Who We Are Looking For:
Are you the Educational Support Specialist we have been looking for In this position you will be able to convey your passion for helping others with a dynamic team by bringing an energetic and positive approach while working with our students!
Walden Street School is a residential treatment setting for adolescents that specializes intraumainformed care.Walden provides 24hour comprehensive care including a school on site a full clinical staff nursing staff and direct care staff.
This is a fulltime position Monday Friday with overtime available as needed. The position is ideal for someone interested in special education particularly with students with mental health struggles.
JRI Provides The Training So That:
- YOU will support students and staff in the classrooms and residential milieu as needed.
- YOU will complete written reports including IEP progress reports treatment reports and rounds.
- YOU will provide coverage for classes when teachers are out.
- YOU will support students 1:1 as needed.
- YOU will support students before school at breakfast and on nonschool days in the milieu through providingstudent supervisioneducational groups and educational field trips as appropriate for individuals/groups ofstudents.
- YOU will support the Director of Education and Assistant Program Director with tasks as needed.

Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age.
Bachelors degree in education or related field preferred.
Special Education license preferred but not required.
At least 1 year experience as a supervisor and administrator
At least 3 years of experience working in Special Education with young adults with emotional disabilities
Candidates with experience working with adolescents in an alternative school setting or treatment program are preferred.
Maintains valid drivers license as transporting students is required.
At JRI you will learn to provide physical interventions and verbal deescalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our students!
Background and driving record checks will be performed.
