Job Description
Fortinet has an exciting opportunity for an intermediate SRE Specialist to join our FortiGuard operation team. We are managing consumerfacing services with high traffic volumes around the world. Service Reliability and Security is our top priority. This is a unique opportunity to join an established team of experienced professionals to work on some of the most innovative technology and network security products on the market.
Job Responsibilities
- Linux Server Administration (Ubuntu/Red Hat/CentOS).
- Develop maintain and execute tools and scripts to provide automation and selfservice solutions.
- Design develop and administration of infrastructure as code(IaC) tools/systems to automate deployments operating systems and applications.
- Server VM application and network key performance metrics monitoring.
- Troubleshooting and resolution of security appliances servers storage Kubernetes and network issues.
- Deployment of global Kubernetes cluster including measures for securing and protecting applications and data in the cluster.
- Identify document and track software defects found during testing.
- Design deployment and management of network equipment (Switch/Router/Firewall).
- Provide oncall support for critical services to ensure high availability.
Job Experience Required
- 3 years of practical administration experience in Linux (RHEL CentOS Ubuntu) as a server platform.
- 3 years of practical administration experience in virtualized environments.
- 3 years of practical experience with automation tools (Ansible/Terraform)in physical and virtual environments.
- Strong understanding of security practices and implementation.
- Knowledge of monitoring network/server systems: Zabbix Cacti etc.
- Knowledge of observability tools: Prometheus Grafana ELK stack etc.
- Knowledge of industrystandard protocols (TCP/IP Apache DNS LDAP etc..
- Knowledge of at least one scripting languages (Bash Python Perl etc..
- Highly organized able to multitask ability to work individually within a team and with other groups.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written across all user levels.
- Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
Bonus Experience
- Practical experience in designing and deploying network and server infrastructure.
- Practical experience configuring physical servers & network appliances (e.g. Dell HP Fortinet FortiGate/FortiSwitch etc..
- Knowledge of networking protocols/technologies (Switching Firewalls VPN SNMP DNS VLANs etc..
- Knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus.
- Knowledge of CI/CD platforms and DevOps tools.
- Knowledge of Software Defined Storage and Networks.
Educational Requirement
- A degree or technical diploma in Computer Science Computer Technology or a related field.
- Certification for CCIE RHCE Fortinet FCP in Network Security or FCA would be the bonus.
