Tasks
- Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records including changes in exemptions insurance coverage and other deductions.
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or arrange direct deposit payments while addressing any payroll-related inquiries from employees.
- Ensure proper calculation of wages overtime bonuses and other compensation elements adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure accurate financial reporting and resolve any discrepancies in payroll accounts.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing preferably within the environmental services industry.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of federal and state payroll regulations and tax laws.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
