Job Description
Qualifications
- A MS Computer Science OR a related degree is required.
- Applicants must have proven experience teaching at least one course as a teaching assistant instructor of record or the equivalent.
- Experience teaching one or more relevant (CS or GDD) courses at the college level is preferred.
- An earned Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field or relevant industry experience is highly desired.

Salary/Pay Range: $19629.96 per semester. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.This position isExempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

Summary
This temporary 49%time teaching associate professor position will teach undergraduate courses including crosslisted courses in the Department of Computer Science as assigned by the department chair. The typical course load for a fulltime teaching professors is 24 credit hours 80 time) per academic year and service activity 20 time). Courseload for this position will be prorated based on parttime effort.
Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
An individual hired for this position will teach courses necessary for multiple Computer Science (CS) degrees and specializations.
1. Curriculum development including the development of new courses
2. Advising undergraduate majors
3. Participating in College and Departmental committees and meetings
4. Other as assigned by the Chair of the Computer Science Department
Additional activities may include:
- Guiding undergraduate students in independent studies
- Developing and teaching online courses.
