General Information:
The Department of Biology at James Madison University invites applications for two fulltime faculty for one year appointments at the rank of Lecturer in theacademic year. We are seeking individuals who will teach existing introductory microbiology human physiology and/or human anatomy lecture and laboratory courses (BIO 245 270 and 290 for preprofessional health students a variety of healthrelated majors as well as Biology majors. Hiring will be for a 10month appointment beginning August 2025.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching responsibilities will primarily focus on existing introductory microbiology human physiology and/or anatomy lectures and labs.
Qualifications:
A Masters Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in physiology anatomy microbiology biomedical science or a related field is required. Prior experience in teaching undergraduate courses in these or related fields is preferred with a stronger emphasis on evidence of excellence in teaching including demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate familiarity with instructional technologies and a commitment to access inclusion and diversity in higher education.
