The Lead Mechanical Engineer role provides an exciting opportunity to lead a team of talented engineers while overseeing the design and of complex mechanical systems and solutions. Key Responsibilities

As theLead Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for leading the design development and implementation of mechanical engineering projects while ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems including HVAC piping and pressure vessels for various projects.
  • Ensure all designs meet regulatory standards safety codes and customer requirements.
  • Mentor and guide a team of mechanical engineers providing technical expertise and support to foster professional growth and project success.
  • Collaborate with project managers and crossfunctional teams to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects.
  • Work closely with external consultants vendors and contractors to integrate mechanical systems into larger engineering projects.
  • Provide technical guidance to all stakeholders to resolve challenges during project phases.
  • Review and approve designs ensuring that they meet the required standards specifications and performance expectations.
  • Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure all work complies with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop accurate cost estimates schedules and resource plans for mechanical components of projects.
  • Ensure that projects stay within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Provide advanced problemsolving capabilities to address complex mechanical challenges during both the design and construction phases.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise during the implementation phase.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate the following:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng. status is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior technical role.
  • Proficiency in mechanical design software (e.g. AutoCAD SolidWorks or similar tools).
  • Experience with the design of mechanical systems such as HVAC piping and pressure vessels.
  • Familiarity with industry standards safety codes and regulatory requirements for mechanical systems.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills with the ability to guide and inspire a team.
  • Excellent problemsolving and criticalthinking abilities with a focus on providing practical costeffective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to effectively engage with clients stakeholders and team members.
  • Detailoriented with a commitment to maintaining highquality standards and ensuring project success.
