Duties And Responsibilities
Supervision: Supervise parking enforcement officers including tracking the number of citations written public service assists rendered and the overtime/extra event hours worked. Ensure parking enforcement officers are properly fulfilling their assigned duties. Parking Operations: Manage daily operations for enforcement and maintenance. In addition plan and develop athletic and special event parking operations plans and implement as appropriate. Coordinate with other campus entities to provide parking support for visits and events. T2 Training and Maintenance: Train all parking enforcement officers on the T2 parking management software the handheld computers/phones and the ticket printers. In addition the Parking Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining handheld devices printers pay stations and submit T2 support requests as necessary. Lot Monitoring: Monitor parking lot conditions on a daily basis to ensure safety and a welcoming environment for the campus community. Required maintenance cleaning or snow removal shall be undertaken requested or delegated as appropriate. Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Safely and legally operate departmental vehicles; maintain garage pay stations; operate parking handheld devices to issue and print citations; operate computer hardware and Windowsbased software; operate battery booster packs jumper cables tow straps jacks and lockout tools to provide motorist assistance. Fleet Management: Manage parking services fleet of vehicles assuring periodic and reactive maintenance are completed. Equipment and Uniform Management: Issue and maintain equipment and uniforms for parking enforcement officers; manage replacement cycles to ensure equipment is operating correctly and uniforms adhere to the departments uniform and appearance policy. Customer Service: Provide parking and general University information to students employees and visitors in the field and at the front counter; handle complaints from customers; assist motorists in distress; assist other department requests as required. Security and Safety: Report suspicious circumstances damage or acts of vandalism unruly behavior etc. to appropriate personnel; report hazardous situations in parking lots; work as a team member to provide essential support to other department personnel as required. Clerical: Provide front counter assistance to sell permits receive citation payments and maintain information in the parking database. Supplemental nonInjury Traffic Investigation: The Parking Supervisor is expected to provide supplemental noninjury motor vehicle accident investigation including properly photographing and documenting the incident within the records management system. This requires the successful completion of specialized training in the areas of accident investigation scene safety photography and report writing.
