Job Description
NOW OFFERING ** RELOCATION ASSISTANCE SIGN ON BONUS ** FOR DIESEL TECHNICIAN
McSweeney Chevrolet GMC/CDJR is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician to join our team in Clanton Alabama. This is a fulltime role where the ideal candidate will have previous experience working with diesel engines and a strong understanding of automotive technology. As a Diesel Technician you will be responsible for identifying and repairing diesel engine issues completing routine maintenance tasks and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair diesel engines including electrical mechanical and hydraulic components
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes filter replacements fuel filter replacements and other general diesel related preventative maintenance
Keep uptodate with all technical service bulletins and manufacturer recalls
Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues with diesel engines and drivetrains
Communicate with Service Advisors and customers to explain repairs needed and provide cost estimates
Keep accurate records of all services and repairs performed
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years experience working with diesel engines. Manufacturer specific knowledge with Chevrolet or Dodge is considered a plus
ASE Diesel Certification or equivalent is preferred
Strong understanding of automotive technology and diagnostic equipment
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fastpaced environment
Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical information to nontechnical individuals
Valid drivers license and clean driving record
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
