Essential Functions
1. Ability to patrol campus and respond to emergencies on foot and by vehicle. 2. Ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time for patrol and traffic and crowd control. 3. Ability to work in inclement weather conditions weekends shift work or extreme heat. 4. Ability to perform CPR and basic first aid. 5. Ability to analyze incidents and triage the event bringing a safe & effective resolve 6. Ability to effectively communicate using a twoway radio and related office equipment 7. Ability to safely operate law enforcement vehicles in routine and emergency situations. 8. Ability to make arrests serve warrants and testify in court. 9. Ability to conduct investigations including in the field work and followup interviews. 10. Ability to write effective detailed reports of investigations accidents and incidents. 11. Ability to effectively communicate with lawyers physicians directors deans Vice Presidents the President student groups and organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
Applicants will be rated on the following criteria: Knowledge and experience in community oriented policing. Investigative experience. Specialized police experience/training such as crowd control sexual investigation crime prevention and instructor development. Experience and training to the needs of others/diverse cultures. Experience in report writing and other professional documentation. Experience with public interaction.
