Elsewhere Entertainment is looking for a Lead Network Programmer to join the development of a new IP.
Youll oversee online and networking development and help manage a team.
As a leader on the project youll help take the studio and our game from great to even betterwith a focus on inclusivity mutual respect (for ourselves and our players) thoughtfulness empathy professionalism and collaboration.
Youll help us by
Coach and mentor fellow Network Programmers.
Architect and implement high performance network code solutions for client and server game logic
Develop networking code to interact with backend systems and online services
Maximize scale by optimizing network replication reliability and throughput
Partner with the engineering and design teams to build multiserver gameplay systems
Optimize and debug game network traffic and improve on existing network architecture.
Youre awesome because you have
5 years of experience in network programming.
Excellent debugging and performance analysis skills.
Experience working on backend game systems or on client interface to backend game systems.
Experience with game networking techniques.
Deep knowledge of C programming and practices.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
The ability to collaborate and thrive as part of a creative team
Creativity in problem solving and a positive respectful teamfirst attitude
Organization methods and the capability to meet deadlines
Comfort with selfcritique and accepting outside feedback
Bonus points for
Experience as a managing engineer.
Experience in other areas of video game technology.
Experience with multiplatform development including PC Xbox and PlayStation.
Working in and extending an established code base.
Enjoyment of playing a variety of video game genres and titles
