The Role
Moderna is looking for a seasoned Competitive Intelligence professional to join our Global Franchise Pipeline team. This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive competitive and strategic insights to support decisionmaking across various therapeutic areas at Moderna globally. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in monitoring and evaluating the competitive landscape conducting comprehensive threat assessments and collaborating with key stakeholders to inform strategic planning for Modernas diverse product pipeline.
Heres What Youll Do
Lead competitive intelligence efforts across multiple therapeutic areas globally ensuring functional leaders are equipped with essential competitive information for strategic decisionmaking.
Conduct thorough competitive and market assessments to identify market dynamics trends and potential impacts on Modernas pipeline delivering insights to executive leaders and stakeholders.
Evaluate the reliability of competitive intelligence research findings upholding stringent standards for accuracy relevance and quality in all deliverables and effectively communicate the level of evidence to stakeholders.
Collaborate with stakeholders across Commercial Medical Affairs and R&D to integrate internal and external information analytics and data to derive valueadded.
Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure continuous and comprehensive market intelligence coverage.
Regularly present detailed analyses and summaries of results interpret data and provide recommendations to key stakeholders.
Maintain an indepth understanding of Modernas diverse product offerings competitive positioning and the broader market dynamics shaping the industrys future.
Heres What Youll Need:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Science or a related field.
6 years of experience in competitive intelligence market research or a related field within the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry.
Proven track record of conducting market assessments and delivering strategic insights.
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
Strong presentation and communication abilities.
Heres What Youll Bring to the Table:
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree (e.g. MBA MS or PhD) in Business Marketing Science or a related field.
8 years of experience in competitive intelligence with a focus on multiple therapeutic areas.
Experience managing vendor relationships and crossfunctional projects.
Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information and influence decisionmaking at the executive level.
Familiarity with data analytics tools and methodologies.
This role is based at our Cambridge HQ and offers the flexibility to work remotely up to 30 of the time. Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to the greater Boston area. The role requires a high level of collaboration and the ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment.
