Business Analysts seek to understanding business processes and determining business requirements for systems. Reporting to the Assistant Director ICT Front Door the Senior Business Analyst will be accountable under broad direction to perform complex work that provides detailed technical and professional business analysis system analysis and design changes that align with the vision and strategic direction of the Agency. This role will support the delivery of actions and projects in the ICT Front Door priority areas and Corporate IT Strategy related work.
Key duties and responsibilities
The Senior Business Analyst will exercise a considerable degree of independence and perform a leadership role working closely with stakeholders to gain an indepth understanding of business processes technical infrastructure technical services strategic roadmap and in the context in which the Agency operates.
A focus of this role will be building and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders. The Senior Business Analyst will act as the conduit between key business units within the agency and facilitate informationgathering workshops with business stakeholders to gather requirements develop detailed process and data models and create comprehensive diagrammatic representations of business operations.
An Executive Level 1 employee would generally be required to undertake work that is very complex or sensitive and operate under broad direction. They exercise a considerable degree of independence and perform a leadership role. Employees at this level exercise sound decision making and judgement to produce high level policy advice. EL1 employees engage in complex problem solving and issues management and may coordinate and undertake detailed or sensitive projects that impact on strategic political or operational outcomes for the agency. Employees also responsible for actively managing key stakeholder relationships within and outside the agency and may manage one or more work teams.

Location Canberra and Hybrid 2days a week in the office
