The Opportunity Alliance is seeking aRelief Residential Crisis Worker (RCW)to join theBroadway Crossingsteam. Broadway Crossings provides shorttermtraumainformed stabilization services to adults experiencing a mental health or cooccurring crisis in a home like environment as an alternative to psychiatric hospitalization.
As a Residential Crisis Worker you will provide direct service to clients as part of a multidisciplinary team by:
providing listening support
identifying needs
assisting clients in achievement of treatment plan goals
administering medication
administering risk assessment milieu management household organization
provide medical record documentation.
Schedule: Per Diem as needed
Location: Onsite in South Portland ME
Qualifications:
High School Diploma with 5 years related experience required. Associates degree in Behavioral Health or related field and 2 years of relevant experience or Bachelors degree in Social Work or other relevant area preferred.
Must become certified as Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician 1 (MHRT1 within 1 year of employment (trainings provided); then maintain required trainings to uphold continuous MHRT1 status.
At least one year of experience in mental health field preferred.
Technical literacy knowledge of DSMV solid oral and written communication strong organizational skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Flexible schedule is required.
Computer efficiency is a requirement.
Must be able to able to successfully pass a criminal background child protective service check & sex offender check.
Must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list.
MHRT is required for position you must pass CNA registry check
Must be able to pass preemployment physical and TB screen.
Must be able to exert moderate physical effort with occasional standing walking reaching stooping bending kneeling crouching typing and frequently lift and carry small children or material weighing up to 25 pounds.
Driving may be necessary to attend meetings and trainings and for the occasional need to meet with clients offsite and within the program service area. This may include transportation of clients or driving to agency location to complete work.A good driving record is required.
