Job Description

Role: Downstream Process Engineer

Location:

  • 23 days/week in Conshohocken PA.
  • 12 days/week work from home (WFH).
  • Occasional visits to offices in Horsham PA.

Duration:12 months (with potential extensionfor installation support and startup in North Carolina).

Responsibilities:

  • Support the design ofMicrofiltration (MF) Ultrafiltration (UF)andchromatographyprocesses to produce bulk concentrated products.
  • Assist in the development ofPFDs P&IDsand process descriptions for downstream systems.
  • Develop and reviewURSdocuments and vendor submissions for downstream processing equipment.
  • Participate in vendor selection equipment reviews and design optimizations.
  • Engage insafety reviewsandHAZOP studiesto ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Work closely with other engineering disciplines vendors and users to ensure integration of downstream processes with the overall plant design.

Requirements:

  • AS/BS/MS in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 25 years of experience in downstream biologics processing with expertise in MF/UF and chromatography.
  • Proficient in reviewing design documentation (PFDs P&IDs URS).
  • Collaborative mindset to work within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Reside within commuting distance of Conshohocken PA.
