Toronto Star OneYear Journalism Internship 2025/2026

Come and join the program that gave so many of Canadas journalists their start: the Toronto Stars oneyear internship.

We are accepting applications for our 2025/2026 oneyear internship.

This internship is for earlycareer journalists college and universitylevel students or recent graduates who have less than five years of experience in the profession interested in working in any part of our newsroom from reporting to digital producing and multimedia. You must have some journalism experience previous internships or roles in a range of organizations freelance or nontraditional outlets.

Interns work with fulltime staff in a challenging but supportive environment.

All Star internships are paid contract positions.

Positions would be based out of Toronto.

• A range of storytelling skills with a strong emphasis on news coverage
• Proven ability to report thoroughly write well and organize information
• Multimedia experience including social media video audio digital producing and design and photography
• Reporting experience outside school assignments and a demonstrated commitment to journalism as a career
• Strong interpersonal skills
