Controls Engineer/PLC programmer:
Job Purpose:
Engineer with previous experience in Bodyshop and able to work independently.
Expertise in PLC HMI Drive Andon and SCADA programming
Responsibility Description:
- Control Engineer should work with client Manufacturing engineering team for offline and onsite support.
- Evaluate the controls data from line builder.
- Coordinate and participate in review meetings with Line builders for controls DAP and buyoffs and handover.
- Capability to design and validate the controls architecture for Bodyshop.
- Sound knowledge of BOM/part list creation and product selection.
- Support Production team to resolve line issues & Prove process capability.
- Knowledge of Electrical drawing preparation and review (Eplan)
- Cooperate providing clear communication between Line builders and Manufacturing and engineering team.
- Preparation/standardization IO list (Robot and field IO list)
- Safety Design Reviews.
- Ensure Compliance to Build Standards
- Network validation offline and onsite
- Ensure validate all the configuration of Vision Systems.
- Review Network Topology and Validate application.
- Support Build Events during Project Phases (Support Production team to resolve line issues & Prove process capability).
- Facilitate and support training of plant team members / maintenance.
- Debug PLC Program and HMI program.
- Customization of PLC & HMI program.
- Perform Installation Assessment.
- Software Programming and validate the Cell Automation
Qualifications :
Working Experience:
- Preferable previous experience in Automotive Robotic Bodyshop programming and Installation.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Able to evaluate and approve Technical Proposals.
- Able to evaluate and approve Electrical Hardware Designs.
- Able to evaluate and approve Software Hardware Designs.
- Advanced skills in Siemens Automation Architecture and Solutions.
- Experienced in Installation & commissioning of Brown field & Green Field projects.
- Knowledge in Robotic weld shop PLC and HMI programming Robot to PLC interfacing MES communication etc.
- Work experience with weld line suppliers / contractors
- Knowledge of Utility drawing and calculation (AIR & WATER).
- Hands on experience with Siemens 1500 safety series PLCs 1518F) Unified comfort panel HMIs (MTP).
- Expertise with TIA portal
- Experience in Block logic and sequential programming.
- Identify and eliminate equipment concerns and conduct FMEA & MFMEA for robotic automation line equipments.
- English (writing reading and speaking).
- Microsoft Office (Word Excel Project Power Point and Outlook) EPLANP8 Siemens.
- Demonstrate initiative and creativity to improve area results going beyond the assigned work.
- Knowledge in Profinet and Profisafe communication
- Knowledge in Interface with robots and other equipment Standard I/O interface Safety concept Robot Zone Concept etc.
- Knowledge of AC and DC Drives and motorization.
- Knowledge in Safety tools devices solutions and risk assessment.
- Knowledge of Vision System.
- Knowledge of Virtual commissioning.
- Basic knowledge of robot programming (ABB & Kuka)
