Job Description

Job Title: Retail Sales & Customer Service Associate
Reports To: Sales & Marketing Manager
Department: Sales & Marketing
Location: Retail Store

Job Purpose:
The Retail Sales & Customer Service Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer experiences driving product sales handling cash transactions and supporting daily retail operations. The role is crucial in promoting physiotherapy and rehabilitation products to walkin customers responding to their needs with a consultative approach and managing storelevel activities including POS operation inventory display and basic administrative tasks. Must have experience in a retail sales role preferably in health wellness or pharmaceutical sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service & Sales
Welcome customers professionally and guide them through product options based on their needs (e.g. pain injury mobility).
Demonstrate deep understanding of our client physiotherapy and rehabilitation products.
Build rapport and offer aftersales advice.
Upsell and crosssell related products to maximize customer value.
Handle customer inquiries concerns and product returns professionally.

Cash Handling & POS Operations
Accurately process all cash and card sales using POS systems.
Manage daily float and secure all transactions.
Maintain and reconcile the cash register at the end of the day.
Ensure safe handover of deposits to the accounts team or bank.

Store Operations & Inventory Management
Assist in visual merchandising and display of products.
Monitor and report on stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
Ensure that retail shelves and promotional stands are clean tidy and wellstocked.
Coordinate with the warehouse for stock requests.

Marketing & Promotions
Distribute promotional materials and support instore campaign .
Promote loyalty programs and ensure customers understand benefits.
Post updates or promotions to social media platforms when required.
Support with promotional events or healththemed days instore.

Administrative Support
Maintain accurate customer records and log interactions.
Assist in preparing sales reports and daily summaries.
Track and report customer feedback for service improvement.
Collaborate with the internal admin and procurement team for retail needs.


Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma or Degree in Business Administration Marketing Retail Management or related field.
Minimum 2 years in a retail sales role preferably in health wellness or pharmaceutical sectors.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and POS systems.
Knowledge of inventory systems (e.g. Odoo) is an advantage.

Key Competencies:
Strong product knowledge orientation (training will be provided).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage customer expectations with empathy and professionalism.
Attention to detail in handling cash and inventory.
Confidence in engaging walkin clients and explaining product usage.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Work Conditions:
Fulltime position including Saturdays.
Must be comfortable standing for extended periods and occasionally lifting small stock boxes.
Will be based entirely at the retail store.
