Job Description
- Participate in the seasonal vineyard operations such as data collection crop forecasting vineyard monitoring and pest scouting
- Conduct berry sugar sampling from the assigned vineyard blocks
- Run lab analysis such as brix pH and TA
- Assist with cellar tasks such as cleaning crushing sorting barrel work and pumpovers
Qualifications :
- Possessing a degree (or currently enrolled) in an Agriculture or Wine & Viticulture program is preferred; harvest and wine industry experience is recommended
- Availability to work fulltime from June October and willing to work varying shifts overtime and weekends
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid drivers license and an acceptable driving record required; a company vehicle and fuel will be provided
- Possess a positive attitude; detailoriented and comfortable working alone
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly when doing cellar work
- Ability to walk long distances on uneven terrain in a variety of hot and cold climates
Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour including potential overtime pay. Final compensation is dependent on skills and experience.
