The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to live work and connect with their communities.
As the Learning & Development Facilitator you will organize and deliver key learning and development training opportunities aligned with The Arcs strategic plan culture and personcentered philosophy creating leaders at every level. In addition to coaching and developing frontline and midlevel managers you will be responsible for managing our Career Ladder program for direct support professionals (DSPs) providing support to DSPs throughout the duration of their program to ensure success.
Our inhouse expert on NADSP certifications Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DEI) training best practices Coach Approach and SDI the Learning & Development Facilitator will design and deliver various facetoface workshops trainings virtual and hybrid experiences. Assisting the Director of Talent Development working with outside content providers and organizing effective and engaging development opportunities for leaders of the organization is all in a days work for the Learning & Development Facilitator.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing a team have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and exercise initiative when working collaboratively with diverse personalities and employee populations.
This position requires a bachelors degree in organizational development education or a related field along with three years of experience creating leading and facilitating management and professional development sessions though increased experience can be substituted for a degree. A masters degree in organizational development human resources or adult education and/or an APTD Certification through the Association for Talent Development is a plus.
