Departmental Analyst 9 to P11 levels Position Description
This position serves as a Juvenile Justice Reform Analyst that develops and participates in juvenile justice reform implementation. Provides research and development for community and residential services and treatment in consultation to public/private Juvenile Justice facilities and programs; and works with Senior Analysts and participates in best practices and recommendations of program policies and procedures.
Departmental Analyst 12 Position DescriptionThis position serves as a Senior Juvenile Justice Reform Analyst that develops and oversees juvenile justice reform implementation. Implementation includes tasks related to the following but not limited to: research and development for community and residential services and treatment in consultation to public/private Juvenile Justice facilities and programs statewide regarding treatment service delivery staff development and evaluation. Assistance with the workgroups evaluation of best practices that can be incorporated to the reforms meetings content expert and researching grant opportunities. Other functions as determined by Deputy Director and Director of Juvenile Justice Reform.

Required Education and Experience
Education
Possession of a bachelors degree in any major.
Possession of a masters degree in any major is preferred.
Experience
Departmental Analyst 9 No specific type or amount is required.
Departmental Analyst 10 One year of professional experience.
Departmental Analyst P11 Two years of professional experience including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate 10 level in state service.
Departmental Analyst 12 Three years of professional experience including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11 level in state service.Alternate Education and Experience
Departmental Analyst 9 12 Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of fulltime activeduty experience at or above the E6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.

Position Location/Remote Office:The physical location of this position is South Grand Tower Lansing MI. Based on operational needs and within established limits remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered. Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense including:- A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions.
- A highspeed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
- Suitable lighting furniture and utilities.
