We are seeking a Certified Recovery Support Specialist to work alongside a clinician as part of the Diversion Program for a state agency. This role will involve supporting individuals with behavioral health needs referred by law enforcement helping them access treatment and other essential services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with a clinician to provide peer support at state department/agency
- Assist individuals referred by police officers in finding appropriate treatment and community resources.
- Build trusting relationships with individuals in crisis and guide them through recovery support services.
- Work closely with law enforcement officers and behavioral health professionals to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain records and documentation as required by the program.
Qualifications:
- Certified Recovery Support Specialist certification (required).
- Minimum two years of experience working as a peer in a recoveryfocused setting.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience working with law enforcement and crisis intervention is preferred.
- Knowledge of treatment and service availability in Delaware.
- Excellent communication problemsolving and organizational skills.
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Onsite position
- Monday to Friday 40 hours per week.
- No weekend work required.
