The Opportunity

Our Administration Services team at Brisbane Private Hospital have a new opportunity for an experienced Ward Clerk or Medical Administrator to join our team on a full time basis.

Working with the Neurosurgery clinical team we are seeking a Ward Clerk who will be accountable for providing admin support assist to our doctors nursing staff and allied health professionals.

The successful applicant will have exceptional customer service skills flexibility and empathic approach. Key functions include:

• Greeting patients and other visitors
• Liaising with other professionals
• Preparation of patient files appointment lists and coordination with other ward clerks to obtain ward patient files
• Medical record filing
• Providing clerical support to the clinical team

Essential Criteria

• Previous experience in Ward Clerk or Medical Administration position
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Well organised able to prioritise plan ahead and work under pressure
• Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word Excel & Outlook)
• Desirable criteria
• Experience with medical terminology
• Experience with Webpas Medical System
