Job Description

Description
The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of adult cardiac surgery. The candidate will have a strong academic background and expertise in heart and lung procurement organ assessment and resuscitation exvivo organ perfusion ECMO cannulation and management as well as all aspects of Cardiovascular Surgery.

Requirements:

Cardiac surgical experience preferred but not required preferably as an advanced trainee or staff surgeon with strong surgical skills. Other requirements include:
  • Expertise in lung and heart procurement and transplantation
  • Expertise in exvivo heart and lung perfusion and normothermic regional perfusion
  • Expertise in ECMO cannulation and management
  • Eligible for Minnesota State Licensure
  • Interest and ability in education simulation and research would be valued
Exceptional collaboration and communication skills across specialties disciplines and with all levels of staff.

Qualifications
Boardcertified / eligible in Cardiovascular Surgery and eligible for medical licensure in the State of Minnesota.
