Position Summary
The Admissions Program Coordinator is responsible for the effective planning and of Office of Admissions sponsored precollege summer programs for high school students. The incumbent will also support the Office of Admissions in the of on campus Admissions events and special projects at the direction of the Director of Admissions.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
PreCollege Programs Assists in planning of precollege summer programs hosted by the Office of Admissions. Serves as the first point of contact for parents and students throughout the summer programs inquiry to enrollment funnel. Manages the hiring process and supervision of summer program student staff. Assists in the hiring and training of program staff including program coordinators students and other support staff. Assists in the procurement of goods and services to support successful summer program operations. Assists in the development and of a marketing and recruitment plan (i.e. webinars social media high school outreach Spelman web presence). Reviews program applications and ensures application materials are received and entered in the Admissions CRM . Develops updates and facilitates program activities. Keeps on call schedule throughout the summer to address and communicate any emergencies that arise. Oversees catering event and communication logistics for Opening and Closing Ceremonies and Field Trips. Serves as first point of contact in residential dorm for student staff. Attend all field trips with student staff. Develops and administers program surveys Provides assessment and analytics to Program Manager and Director of Admissions Campus Summer Programs Liaison Supports the Admissions Program Manager as a campus liaison to all precollege research and educational summer programs hosted on the Spelman College campus. Works with program leads across campus to synthesize best practices policies and processes for managing on campus summer programming. Attend campus partnership (Wellness Housing Facilities Housekeeping Dining Budget & Contract) meetings with Program Manager. Special Admissions Projects Coordinates and/or assists as well as participates in a variety of campus programs and special events for prospective students and their families. Assists with special projects as assigned by the Director of Admissions.

The employee is frequently required to: stand reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to stoop and move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to adjust focus.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma and a minimum of five years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience are required. This position requires exceptional project and management skills. position requires excellent interpersonal customer service organizational skills and record keeping techniques. Must have demonstrated experience in managing complex programming and strong organizational skills with an emphasis to detail and follow up on assignments. Must be assertive and be able to work independently while meeting the goals of the office. It is necessary to have the capacity to work in a fast pace highstakes environment. The incumbent must possess the ability to prioritize effectively maintain confidentiality handle matters with tact and diplomacy interact in a diverse community manage details multitask and adapt to changing situations with a strong ability to see projects through completion. To perform this job successfully an individual must have intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite including the preparation of mail merges flyers and spreadsheets. Using formulas and creating forms are also important. Incumbent must have excellent typing skills. Strong oral and written communication skills are important as this position will regularly interact with and communicate ideas with other members of the division the Spelman community at large and the general public in the of responsibilities.
