Summary:

AGAT Laboratories is currently hiring for a Laboratory Technician to join our Inorganic Labworking out of our Dartmouth NS facility. The Laboratory TechnicianCan entrylevel position into the laboratory and will work extensively with microbiologicaltesting. This position is given direction from the Laboratory Supervisor and assists with administrative and basic laboratory activities. Please note for this positionweekend availabilitywill be required.

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday from 8am to 4:30pm

What you will be doing:

• Perform basic laboratory procedures including preparation of samples reagents and calibration solutions.
• Provide general lab support including washing glassware cleaning work stations and waste disposal.
• Calibrate operate maintain and troubleshoot intermediate instruments.
• Compile verify and validate accurate data records.
• Meet quality assurance and turn around specifications.
• Follow all Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Report results.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring to the table:

• Postsecondary education with a Technical Diploma/Science Degree or equivalent industry experience.
• 02 years experience.
• Knowledge of basic laboratory processes an asset.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Experience in analyzing microbiology samples as asset.
• Basic computer skills with experience with MS office and LIMS.
• Good communication skills and fluency in English both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a positive manner within a fastpaced work environment.
• HandEye coordination and attention to detail essential.
• Mature work ethic with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds on a consistent basis.
