Maryland Hillel is seeking a Senior Director of Development to lead and execute the organizations fundraising strategy. This individual will direct fundraising activity for one of the nations most accomplished student empowerment organizations which reaches some 5800 Jewish students at the University of Maryland each year. Hillel enhances the lives of Jewish students so they may enrich the Jewish people and the world. By curating a diverse menu of social leadership religious educational and cultural experiences Hillel strengthens each students Jewish identity in a nonprescriptive way. The organization derives most of its revenue from fundraising and the Senior Director of Developments success will directly impact the quality and scope of opportunities available to the students we serve.
The Senior Director of Development marshals the efforts of the board volunteers and professional staff to drive Hillels annual campaign and support the efforts of the capital campaign. Each year Maryland Hillel raises some $in private philanthropy and a further $400000$600000 in grants. The organization has also just surpassed $15 million towards its capital campaign goal of $which will realize a brandnew building.
You are a dynamic resultsdriven professional with a proven track record of managing successful fundraising campaigns. You take initiative operate with independence and thrive in a fastpaced environment. You understand the complexities of development work within the broader Jewish community. You are selfaccountable and proactive able to ensure key stakeholders are where they need to be for maximum fundraising success. This role requires someone with strong leadership skills excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to drive strategy while executing handson development work.

Maryland Hillel draws students to the University of Maryland from around the country with large contingents from Maryland the tristate area Florida and California. Following many years of growth Hillel is conducting a capital campaign to construct a custombuilt 40000 square foot Jewish student center to continue to support this thriving Jewish community into the future.
