Join ICES on a contract impacting national security as an Microsoft Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Engineer.
A Microsoft Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing implementing and managing cloudbased solutions using Microsoft Azure. They ensure the reliability security and scalability of cloud infrastructure and services to meet organizational needs. The engineer collaborates with crossfunctional teams to deploy and maintain Azure resources and provides technical expertise in cloud architecture and operations.
These positions are located inAlexandria VA.All positions require an active/currentTS/SCI securityclearanceand be willing and able to pass an additionalpolygraphas needed.
As a Microsoft Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Engineer specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Duties:
- Design and deployment of cloud infrastructure solutions for BEP customers.
- Manage the Microsoft infrastructure related projects for BEP customers.
- Design and implement the Microsoft cloud related technologies within BEP on schedule while satisfying the customers requirements.
- Collaborate with software developers and hardware engineers to develop strong interpersonal skills and evaluate change options for their companys information technology systems as a team.
- Analyze current state and design the target solution according BEP requirements.
- Present the proposed solution to the stakeholders and project sponsors. Implement configure and migrate technologies and data according to designed final architecture.
- Provide additional support to the client operating teams.
Required:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Expertise in designing implementing and managing Azure infrastructure and services.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in Azure networking services (e.g. Virtual Networks VPN Gateway ExpressRoute).
- Experience with Azure Active Directory Identity Protection and MultiFactor Authentication.
- Knowledge of Azure security services (e.g. Azure Security Center Azure Sentinel).
- 4 years of Windows Server Active Directory MS Exchange online O365 Azure cloud technology a highlevel understanding of server and cloud security concepts desktop applications and operating systems VMWare virtualization in Data Centre maintenance support and administration of production MS SQL database servers strong scripting and automation experience.
