Job Description and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Operations Manager the Counter Clerk is responsible for selling vehicle parts providing customer service and maintaining vehicle inventory.
- Identify and sell vehicle parts to customers
- Answer customer inquiries in person over the phone or via email
- Inventory vehicles that are being sold to Bucks Auto Parts and catalogue them in the PointofSale system
- Mark vehicles with their assigned stock numbers
- Notify appropriate personnel of any procedural abnormalities
- Keep work area clean. This includes the parts office shared office spaces and the parking lot
- Observe and follow all safety rules and regulations
Requirements
- High School or equivalent
- No experience necessary but previous work experience in retail or similar s yard/auto part environment will be considered an asset
- Knowledge of automotive components an asset
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including standing walking sitting bending moderate to heavy lifting and pushing and pulling
- Computer literate with intermediate skill level for Microsoft Office programs such as Word Excel and Outlook
- Basic math skills
- Organized and able to prioritize competing priorities
- Strong communication skills ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing and over mobile radio devices
- Polite and friendly with customer service orientation
- Strong work ethic uses time efficiently
- Able to work with minimal supervision/general oversight
- Strong attention to detail with a keen knack for accuracy when inputting data
- Must be willing to work evenings and weekends
- Hours of Operations in the Summer: 8 AM to 6:30 PM 4 shifts per week 3 days off)
- House of Operations in the Winter: 9 AM to 5:30 PM 5 shifts per week 2 days off)
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work (remote location not accessible by bus)
