Supply Chain Manager Portugal (Lisbon)
A multinational company which has recently established a hub in Portugal is seeking a highly experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee its local supply chain operations and coordinate global activities. This role requires a strong leadership skills and proficiency in Portuguese English and French.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement & Sourcing: Develop and implement strategies to manage supplier relationships negotiate contracts and ensure the timely and costeffective delivery of goods and services.
- Logistics & Transportation: Oversee transportation and delivery activities optimize shipping routes and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels implement tracking systems and coordinate resources to meet operational demands.
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop a local supply chain team fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with global strategies.
- Vendor and Contract Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers evaluate their performance and manage the lifecycle of contracts in compliance with regulations.
- Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure resilience and continuity.
- Global Coordination: Collaborate with international teams to align supply chain operations and contribute to worldwide initiatives.
- Performance Optimization: Establish KPIs monitor performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of proven experience in supply chain management preferably in a multinational or complex operational context.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing teams and driving results.
- Expertise in procurement logistics and inventory management.
- Proficiency in supply chain software (e.g. SAP Oracle) and knowledge of international trade regulations.
- Proficiency in Portuguese English and French is mandatory.
- Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
- Experience in navigating supply chain challenges in diverse and remote environments.
