Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Lift Technician to join our team. As a Lift Technician you will be responsible for the installation maintenance repair and servicing of lifts and escalators. You will ensure that all equipment is functioning properly safely and in compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate should have excellent technical knowledge attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation: Install new lifts escalators and other vertical transport systems according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on lift systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Repairs: Diagnose and repair faults in lift equipment including mechanical electrical and electronic issues.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all lifts are compliant with relevant safety regulations and standards. Conduct safety checks and rectify any issues promptly.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with lift systems in a timely manner to minimize downtime for clients.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by explaining lift system issues and repairs to clients clearly and professionally.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inspections maintenance and repairs. Ensure accurate reporting of services rendered.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency service calls and resolve critical issues as quickly and safely as possible.
  • Teamwork: Work alongside other technicians engineers and staff to provide support on complex or largescale projects.


Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Lift Technician Elevator Installer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of lift escalator and elevator systems.
  • Proficient in mechanical electrical and electronic troubleshooting.
  • Good understanding of safety standards and regulations related to lifts and escalators.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal working hours including weekends or oncall shifts when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in lift installation or repair (e.g. NVQ Level 3 City & Guilds).
  • Previous experience working with advanced lift technologies or in a specialized lift sector.

Working Conditions:

  • Fulltime position with occasional overtime.
  • The role may involve traveling to client locations and working in a variety of environments including construction sites office buildings and residential areas.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.
