Job Description

Job Summary:

The HR Business Partner for Healing To You will be responsible for managing and overseeing all human resources operations. As the sole HR professional this parttime role 10 hours per week) will involve developing and implementing HR policies overseeing recruitment efforts managing payroll handling employee relations and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic approach to cultivating a positive work environment providing guidance and support to leadership on HR best practices and driving initiatives that align with our mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring and maintaining full compliance within federal and state regulations regarding employment law

  • Support full cycle employee recruitment and hiring

  • Implement and maintain system for personnel record keeping and documentation

  • Develop/refine new job descriptions performance review processes and Employee Handbooks

  • Perform benefits administration to include claims resolution change reporting and communicating benefit information to employees

  • Provide payroll support i.e. time off tracking timesheet review etc.

  • Provide risk management assessment

  • Manage and implement HRIS solutions

  • Oversee and perform employee relations functions

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 57 years of HR Generalist experience in California required

  • Possess a PHR or SHRM certification or equivalent; or willing to obtain the certification within six months

  • 35 years of Payroll experience

  • Working knowledge and understanding of local state and federal employment regulations laws and best practices

  • Nonprofit experience required

  • Strong experience using Microsoft Office payroll and HRIS software Gusto

  • Enthusiastic team player with a strong commitment to create a positive and engaging work environment

  • Strong work ethic and proven administrative skills including highly organized and detailed oriented

  • Excellent critical thinker and problem solver; able to make solid judgments and decisions

  • Ability to hold personal information strictly confidential

  • Proven ability to function in a multitasking multiclient environment

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor

This is a parttime position 10 hours per week and the salary range is $40 $45 per hour
