Job Description

As part of our integrated service offering BETA provides mapping solutions that improve the communities where we live and work. BETAs GIS & asset management group is looking for an experienced GIS Analyst to join our team of GIS professionals and support BETAs core services.
The GIS Analyst will support ongoing data development spatial analysis and cartographic output for municipal utility and environmental projects. The qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate their aptitude with the ESRI suite of tools particularly ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cuttingedge geospatial analyses using the ESRI suite of software to deliver impactful insights.
- Execute data editing tasks with guidance from experienced project managers.
- Innovate and maintain dynamic ESRIbased web applications including Dashboards Experience Builder maps Field Maps and Survey123 forms.
- Assist in the creation and refinement of cartographic design elements and mapping projects ensuring highquality visual representations.
- Design and enhance geographic database structures tables forms and reports for optimized data management.
- Provide expert GISrelated technical support to both internal teams and external clients.
- Collaborate seamlessly with office staff and project managers to ensure timely and quality project completion.
- Conduct field data collection and asset inspections for roadway sidewalk and utility assets ensuring accurate and comprehensive data acquisition.
Preferred location is BETAs Lincoln RI office. Candidates should have flexibility to work from our other office locations. BETA also offers a hybrid work schedule allowing employees to request working remotely up to 2 days per week.

Skills Required:
- 3 years of relevant experience
- A solid understanding of technical application concepts principals and theories in GIS
- Bachelors degree in GIS geography geology planning engineering or related field or a related field
- Expertise with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online for advanced geospatial analysis and project
- Demonstrated ability to create visually appealing and intuitive maps with a keen eye for cartographic design and aesthetics
- Proficient with developing geodatabases and schemas (domains subtypes)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrate strong technical aptitude and learning skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problemsolving skills
- High attention to detail
- Must be able to collect field data and measurements including but not limited to roadway sidewalk and utility assets; and perform asset inspections
- Must be able to lift/move objects weighing up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to perform field work in both hot and cold weather (rain and/or snow)
- Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time
- Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with municipal GIS is a plus
