What we are looking for:
Yazaki is looking for a Supervisor Electrical Hardware to join our Electronics Instrumentation (EI) team inCanton MI.
What you will be doing:
- Deploy the initiated activities to relative teams and finally check the teams results in a responsible manner
- Supervise the daily activities of one or several electrical development teams
- Supervise balancing work load and recognition of areas of concern
- Supervise multiple product designs and deliveries
- Supervise the team members complying with work instructions processes and procedures.
- Supervise team members ensuring prioritized development and timely tasks completion
- Communicate Human Resources related issues and administrative concerns to Manager
- Solve development confliction with other department or the outside while communicating it to Manager
- Supervise resources being concentrated to electrical developments
- Supervise solving design issues and avoiding recurring deign issues
- Check prepared project development plans including resources and expenses
- Coordinate the regular electrical team meetings
- Approve reported work hours for supervised associates
- Manage ones own and team members vacations using any scheduler so that those dont badly affect any project schedule.
- Manage supervised associates performance outline career paths using the integrated performance system.
- Develop and implement career development with training plans agreed upon with supervised associates
- Supervise that team members are coached and trained well in engineering / technical disciplines.
- Create all projects resource forecasting in the short term or over the long term.
- Hire new electrical engineers according to the resource forecasting with the manager
- Supervise properly retaining team members structure for all projects
- Supervise all team members complying with the electrical work plan
- Establish and retain the Electrical design and verification engineering standards/documents archiving
- Lead continuous electrical development process improvement activities
- Supervise multiple project developments/deliveries using the electrical work product delivery matrix
- Lead how to respond to emergent solution request from the inside/outside whenever necessary.
- Retain close collaboration with other engineering disciplines and a good relationship with customers so that projects can be timely and on a budget completed
- Be acquainted with legal risks related to HR and also facilitate all team members to have the relative trainings.
- Lead that team members essentially analyze root cause of engineering issues and the lessons learned are left as documents.
- Lead team members independently working but helping each other whenever necessary
- Facilitate team members efficiently managed and supervised with the manager.
What you will bring to the table:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical or equivalent
- 10 years of automotive related or equivalent electrical/electronics production design experience
