About The Team


The Clinical Legal Program at Murdoch School of Law and Criminology is a nationally and internationally recognised program that runs a busy legal practice involving our law students


The main objective of the Clinical Education Program is to both provide services to disadvantaged clients and to educate the lawyers of tomorrow. In keeping with Murdochs focus on sustainability and equity the clinical program engages students to learn and develop their work ready skills while also addressing access to justice and equity issues.

Your New Role!


The successful candidate will specifically support students and staff within the clinical area. The Clinic runs a busy legal practice and this position is responsible for the administration of that legal practice and all the professional requirements that come with it. This includes dealing with our clients paperwork and record keeping legal regulatory bodies government departments courts and tribunals.


Your key responsibilities will include

  • Manage the day to day operations of The Southern Communities Advocacy Legal and Education Service (SCALES) office legal practice.
  • Oversee the entry of data into the Actionstep database to ensure that it is accurate and up to date; and responding to all requirements from SCALES and its funders with regards to data collection and provision for reporting purposes.
  • Direct students and employees as required concerning the collection and entry of required data the review and audit of files etc.
  • Assist with client work when required.
  • Provide complete administrative support for the Clinical Practice and staff including organising meetings for the Director and for clients.
  • Provide assistance and support to a wide range of stakeholders involved with SCALES.

This Fixed Term 12 Months with possibility of extension) Part time 30 hours per week) position attracts a remuneration of $77000 $86000 (pro rata) plus 17 employer superannuation contributions.
