Job Description:
Software Configuration Management (SWCM) activities include planning documenting and executing the processes and procedures necessary to ensure compliance with internal standards and contract requirements. SWCM provides support for configuration item identification and control configuration status accounting metrics capturing and documenting configuration changes performing configuration audits and providing other functional support as needed to facilitate the of engineering activities.
Essential Functions:
- Planning Identification Change Management Status Accounting Verification and Audit of software baselines
- Interface with multiple disciplines and levels of management regularly to ensure adequate control and traceability of all software products
- Responsible for meeting Software Configuration Management technical schedule and cost objectives on assigned programs
- Team Collaboration to continuously improve software engineering processes and products
- Facilitating the control and release of software builds
- Perform software branching activities for each release
- Performing audits to verify compliance with contract requirements
- Participation with software configuration control boards including creation of agendas facilitation of meetings and follow up of action items
- Perform problem solving and provide creative solutions drawing from prior experience and indepth analysis of issues
- Contributes to making suggestions for improvement or enhancements to systems and processes to improve performance of job area
- Provide training and user support for Configuration Management problem tracking and version control toolset
- Generate software media required for internal/external customer shipments
Qualifications:
- TS/SCI Clearance
- Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience in an IT IS Software Development or Configuration Management role
- Knowledge of Configuration Management principles as they apply to Software
- Working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Experience with software change management tools (e.g. Jira)
- Experience with software version control tools (e.g. Git/Bitbucket Jenkins.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in Colorado is $65500 $121500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
