Farm Management Consultant
Farm Management Consultant Perth, Scotland (Flexible/Hybrid Working)

The Job: Are you an experienced Farm Management Consultant looking for a new opportunity to help shape the future of farming and rural businesses? This role offers a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on involvement, supporting farm businesses to grow, adapt, and thrive in an evolving landscape.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing Contract Farming Agreements
  • Conducting farm assessments and business reviews
  • Advising on cropping and livestock systems
  • Delivering agri-environment schemes and sourcing rural funding
  • Creating business plans, budgets, and financial forecasts
  • Supporting sustainable and regenerative farming practices
  • Advising on risk, resilience, and compliance
  • Building relationships with clients and contributing to business development
The Company:
A well established and respected rural consultancy delivering tailored advice to agricultural clients across Scotland. The team works collaboratively across a wide range of rural, commercial and environmental projects and is known for building trusted relationships with clients. They offer a supportive working environment with a focus on long-term development and innovation in agriculture.

The Candidate:
  • Strong knowledge of farm business management - arable and livestock
  • Practical farming experience or a relevant academic background, a degree is advantageous
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Commercially aware with a problem-solving approach
  • Familiarity with rural grants and environmental schemes is a plus
